The agreement between us

These terms cover the website at beckfordmoves.com, the free calculator on it, and the Beckford Moves coaching app. Beckford Moves is operated by Sean Beckford, a certified personal trainer and registered massage therapist in Toronto, Ontario. Using the site or the app means you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use them.

Not medical advice

Beckford Moves provides fitness and nutrition coaching. It is not medical care, and nothing on the site or in the app is a diagnosis or a treatment. The calculator gives estimates from four numbers and cannot know your health history. Before starting any training or nutrition program, and especially if you are pregnant, have a diagnosed condition, take medication that affects appetite, weight or heart rate, or have been told by a doctor to limit exercise, get medical clearance first. As a client you complete a health screen at intake and agree to tell Sean about anything that changes.

Your responsibility when training

Exercise carries risk. You agree to train within your ability, to stop if something hurts in a way that is not normal effort, to use equipment you know how to use safely, and to follow the swaps and regressions the app offers rather than pushing through a movement that does not fit you. Sean coaches from what you log and tell him; he cannot see you train. You are responsible for your form, your loads, and your environment.

The coaching app

Access to the app is by invitation after you have purchased a coaching package. Your login is personal. Do not share it, and do not share program content with people who are not clients. The program and its content remain the property of Beckford Moves; you may use them for your own training for as long as you are a client. Exercise videos are hosted on YouTube and are subject to YouTube's terms.

Payments, subscriptions and refunds

• Prices are in Canadian dollars and are shown on the Packages page. Applicable tax is added at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.
• App Coaching is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically on the same day each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your app profile; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and no further charges are made.
• A founding rate stays at that rate for as long as the subscription stays active. If it lapses and you rejoin later, the current price applies.
• Sessions bought as a package are valid for six months from purchase unless the package says otherwise. Cancel a booked session with at least 24 hours notice to keep the credit; later cancellations and no-shows use the credit.
• Because coaching starts the moment a program is assigned, monthly fees already paid are not refunded. If something has gone wrong on our side, email and it will be made right.

Results

Sean will coach you honestly and adjust as your data comes in. Nobody can promise a specific result, and no claim on this site should be read as one. Success stories are real clients whose results depended on their own consistency; yours will depend on yours.

Limits of liability

To the extent Ontario law allows, Beckford Moves is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the site, the calculator or the app, including from training decisions you make based on them. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid in the three months before the claim.

Ending the relationship

You can stop at any time by cancelling. Beckford Moves can end coaching, with a refund of any unused prepaid period, if a client is abusive, shares access, or has a health situation that makes remote coaching unsafe for them.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and Canada. Any dispute goes to the courts of Ontario. If one part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Changes are posted here with a new date; changes that affect current clients are sent by email before they take effect.
